Physically relaxing helps calm your mind too.

  • Slowly tense up each part of your body as hard as you can for about five seconds
  • Then relax it
  • Notice the tension and the muscles tightening. Then notice how floppy or loose the muscle feels
  • Repeat 3 times then move on to the next part. Do it in this order: face, arms, hands, back, stomach, legs, feet
  • Take your time.
